McWORTH MANAGEMENT McDONALD'S

EMPLOYEE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Description

The McWorth Management McDonald's Employee Scholarship Program is one of many examples of McDonald's commitment to employee development and opportunity. The program recognizes and rewards the accomplishments of McDonald's student-employees who excel in their studies, serve their communities and work hard to deliver an outstanding experience for our customers.

Awards

Every academic year, McWorth Management selects one outstanding student-employee from each of their eleven franchises to receive a $1000 scholarship. Scholarship winners may use their awards at any eligible institution and for any field of study they choose.

Eligibility

The McWorth Management McDonald's Employee Scholarship Program recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding students in the course of their employment at McDonald's. The following requirements apply for this program:

?         Must be currently employed at a McDonald's restaurant and have a least one month continuous employment at the time of application,

?         Must work a minimum of 20 hours per week,

?         Must be a high school senior planning to attend an accredited institution offering post-secondary education and/or career training and,

?         Must be employed by McDonald's or a McDonald's owner/operator at the time the scholarship awards are announced.

Selection

Scholarship winners are selected on the basis of their high school records, standardized test results, extracurricular activities, and job performance. An independent panel of educators convened by Scholarship Program Administrators, Inc. (SPA) reviews all completed applications and selects the winners. Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition in July. All decisions are final.

Recipient Responsibilities

Recipients? responsibilities include enrolling as full-time undergraduates in the fall of the year in which the scholarships are awarded and continuing in school for the entire academic year without interruption, barring illness, emergency, or military service. They are also responsible for making certain that their scholarship checks are delivered to the proper office at their college or university.

Payment of Funds

Checks will be mailed to each recipient?s home address and will be made payable to the college or university.
